In the summer of 2004 Ms. Davis and her husband relocated to
Denver, Colorado.  Once settled here, she enrolled in and
completed a one year Certificate Degree in Suzuki Pedagogy from
Denver University under the instruction of James Maurer.  Since
then she has established a private teaching studio and performs
throughout the area as part of a variety of groups, including the
Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra and the Colorado Springs
Philharmonic Orchestra
.  Over the years Ms. Davis has spent her
time during the summer at a variety of festivals such as the
National Repertory Orchestra, the Musicorda Summer Festival,
the Aspen Music Festival and the Strings in the Mountains Music
Festival.  She enjoys living and working in beautiful Colorado

with her husband
and hopes to do so for many years to come.
Michelle M. Davis
At the age of 7 Ms. Davis took up the violin as a result of having heard her father
playing for enjoyment her entire life.  She progressed quickly and soon began taking lessons
outside of her hometown, traveling to Burlington, Vermont and then to New York City to
work with teachers from the Julliard Pre-College Division.  She spent her summers
attending the Meadowmount School of Music, located only 30 minutes from her home.  Upon
reaching high school she moved to Cleveland to participate in the Cleveland Institute of
Music's Young Artist Program.  Her teachers there were David Updegraff and Linda
Cerone, whom she worked with year round by attending the Encore School for Strings
during the summer.

many chamber music groups, the most memorable of
which was the Sylvan Piano Quartet which she formed
with three fellow friends and colleagues.  They performed
at the University as well as traveling to Saranac, NY, to
perform on the Hill and Hollow Music Series.
